How To Fix The No Sound Issue in Firefox Flash [Linux Tip]

This is the method that worked for me while using Ubuntu as well as Fedora. It’s not really a method, it’s more of a simple program installation. By no means do I take credit for the solution, but here is the package that will need to be installed:

http://www.paulbetts.org/projects/libflashsupport_1.0~2219-2_i386.deb

I wouldn’t even bother saving it, just open with the default application. It will install it and you’ll be sittin’ pretty.

BTW: This also appears to be true for Fedora 8. I had the same problem with the default installation of the new Pulse Audio controller. So, after installing the “libflashsupport” package, the sound in Firefox flash worked again. Refer to my other Fedora 8 guide on this page:
